A new How to Build page has been added that summarizes the process of building a shipping container cabin. Instead of trying to navigate through all of the previous posts, you can now see everything in a single orderly document. You’ll also notice that it’s not complete, just like my cabin. I’m treating it as a living document and will make additions and changes as my cabin progresses.
It’s great having everything in one section like that. Yours is the only website I’ve come across that’s done much in the way of detailing the actual process of building a container home, so it’s been a very useful and enjoyable read. Thanks so much for documenting and sharing your project. I can’t wait to see more!
Your “How To Build” page is a great concept for the basic information concerning your wonderful journey. It’s a great idea. In fact, I have found the entire website to be a pleasurable place to spend some time.
Your site is easy to navigate, easy to find what I’m interested in and most of all, it’s an uncluttered visual treat. The gallery of pics is especially well done.
Many of the “this is what I did” websites that I have seen lately, have a tendency to loose my interest fairly quickly unless they have a basic concept / idea page showing the general direction of the project. This gives much better context to all that is seen or read later. Good job!

Hi Randall:
Thanks for the kind words. The How to Build page and the gallery were actually requested by several of my readers. It seems no one wants to dig through a bunch of old posts to see the big picture – I really can’t blame them.
Take care.
Steve
Great job ! What was the final cost in building this? (sorry if this was posted elsewhere).
